The Rover Scouts Australia Blood Drive is back for 2026!
This year we’re taking a slightly different approach; our National Blood Drive
will be held over the entire month of October!
That’s right, starting the 1st of October 2026 and finishing on the 31st of October 2026.
This is to encourage and support more of your Rover Scouts with limited time
to take up this opportunity AND assist some of our regular donors with the spacing of their regular donations

- Book in your first Donation!
Lifeblood Teams
Looking for a Team to join? You have a few options.
- Find your Rover Units team in the approved list
- Note: The list is current export from Lifeblood Australia. But it may not be
an accurate representation of Rover Units as they sit today.

How do Parent/Child Teams work for Rover Scouts when doing the calculations?
It is important to understand how Lifeblood Teams actually work.
In short;
- There can only ever be one Parent Team with multiple Child Teams that sit below
- A Parent Team (with Child Teams below), cannot have an it’s own Parent Team that sits above.
When we calculate the number of donations, the NRC will look at and calculate each of the Parent Teams from the approved list.
This is because each of the Child Team donation results, are automatically filtered up to the Parent Team (including any donations
made by a person who has the Parent Team nominated).
Let’s look at a couple of examples;
EXAMPLE 1: Tasmania
TAS Region Rovers is the Parent Team. The following are Child Teams that sit below that;
- TAS Region Rovers – Eastern Shore Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Esk Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Huon Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Kingborough Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Leven Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Mt Faulkner Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Northern Area Crew
- TAS Region Rovers – Supporters
- TAS Region Rovers – Wellington Crew
TAS Region Rovers has the total number of donations calculated from itself plus each Child Team combined.
EXAMPLE 2: Queensland
Rover Scouts Queensland is a Parent Team. There are no Child Teams that sit below this Parent Team. This is
because Queensland (and a number of other Branches) have a number of Scouting Regions. These Regions are
the Parent Team, with Rover Units sitting below as the Child Team.
Moreton Region Rovers is the Parent Team. The following are Child Teams that sit below that;
- Moreton Region Rovers Booted Rover Unit
- Moreton Region Rovers Goodna Rover Scout Unit
- Moreton Region Rovers North Ipswich Rover Scout Unit
- Moreton Region Rovers Queens Park Ipswich Rover Scout Unit
- Moreton Region Rovers Rosewood Rover Scout Unit
Moreton Region Rovers has the total number of donations calculated from itself and each Child Team combined.
In this instance the NRC will calculate Rover Scouts Queensland plus Moreton Region Rovers results
together (along with every Parent Team in Queensland) to form the TOTAL Donations received for the
Queensland Branch.
